Israel | April 25, public transport will rise in price, but not for everyone

The Ministry of Transport has published for filing objections a decree on increasing the cost of travel in public transport from April 25.

The cost of one trip on the bus will rise in price by 33% from 6 to 8 shekels. The cost of one trip on the train will also rise in price by 2 shekels.

Tariffs for daily and menstruation travel will be in proportion to the daily and menstruation.

At the same time, the age of exemption from the fare will decrease from 75 years to 67 years. Demobilized military personnel and ending the alternative service will receive the right to free travel within a year after the end of the service.

Young people aged 18-26 will receive the right to 33% discount.
