Ryanair rounds Cape of 200 million passengers in a year

The Irish airline Ryanair has for the first time in its existence transported more than 200 million passengers in a year. Ryanair announced this on Thursday.

The 200 millionth passenger of the 2024-2025 financial year, which runs until the end of March, was honored on Wednesday. It was an 84-year-old lady who flew from the Canary Island of Fuerteventura to the Spanish capital Madrid.

“Two hundred million passengers in a year is a historic new record for Ryanair, and it is the first time ever that a European airline is getting that Kaap,” said Ryanair in a press release.

Ryanair has a base at Charleroi airport in Belgium and also conducts flights to and from Brussels Airport.
