Again a big takeover for Vandemoortele: Belgian food group takes over Délifrance

Vandemoortele has again announced a major acquisition. The Belgian food group has reached an agreement on the acquisition of the French producer of frozen bakery products Délifrance. The company reports this in a press release.

Vandemoortele will take over Délifrance from the grain cooperative Viveescia. The deal includes more than 3,200 employees, 14 production sites and an annual turnover of around 930 million euros.

Délifrance supplies frozen bakery products to supermarkets, catering establishments and bakers in Europe and Asia.

Vandemoortele has been active in the bakery sector for fifty years. The activity accounts for 3,500 employees, 28 production sites and a turnover of 1.4 billion euros. The company mainly runs in Europe and the United States.
