The Prime Minister asked Embraer to cooperate with Vietnam to produce equipment, contributing to the development of the aviation industry.
At the meeting with Mr. Francisco Gomes Neto, President of Brazil’s Embraer Group on the afternoon of March 29, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Vietnam has the potential and increasing demand in the field of aviation. The operator also determines that the aviation and space industry plays an important role to exploit new development spaces, including space space.
Specifically, the Prime Minister asked Embraer to cooperate with Vietnamese partners to produce aviation equipment, contributing to the development of aviation industry through modern technology transfer, high quality human resource training, technical support and exchange of experiences.
Along with that, he proposed that Brazil’s aerospace corporation cooperates with the offer of preferential prices, building aircraft maintenance and maintenance centers. He suggested Embraer researching and developing aviation fuel regenerated, sustainable, reducing emissions and greening the aviation industry.

On the Embraer side, Francisco Gomes Neto said the group appreciated the opportunity to cooperate, ready to contribute to the development of Vietnam. The Embraer would like to introduce modern aircraft and cooperate to deploy aviation services.
During the official visit to Brazil in September 2023, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh went to Embraer’s aircraft factory and worked with President Francisco Gomes Neto in Brazil. Meeting Mr. Francisco Gomes Neto, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said he hoped that Embraer’s relationship with Vietnam was more and more tight, more effective, in the spirit of cooperation between the two countries without limits.
Government leaders affirmed that Vietnam pledged to accompany and share with businesses, ensuring that businesses are in accordance with the law, healthy and effective.
He proposed relevant agencies and partners to quickly implement procedures for effective projects. This contributes to concretizing high -level agreements during the visit to Vietnam by Brazil’s President Lula Da Silva, making the aviation industry a breakthrough cooperation area between the two countries in the coming time.
The Embraer Space Group is a state -owned enterprise owned by the Brazilian government 51% of the shares. EMBRAER is currently one of the world’s leading aircraft manufacturing corporations with commercial, military and agricultural aircraft. In 2024, Embraer had about 24,000 employees, operating in 80 countries around the world, revenue of about US $ 6.4 billion.
Embraer aircraft (E190) has been recognized by the Vietnam Aviation Administration to be allowed to be exploited in Vietnam since December 2020. In December 2024, Embraer brought a number of military aircraft (C-390 Millennium multitasking) to participate in the Vietnam Defense Exhibition. Embraer and Vietnamese airlines are promoting aircraft trading contracts.
