Engineering company Valmet plans to cut 1,150 jobs, of which 395 are in Finland.
Job deductions are due to the fact that the company intends to change its strategy and simplify its approach.
The company has a total of 19,000 employees around the world. The deductions are subject to only employees of 9,2800 and 4,800 in the company.
“The proposed operating model is designed to produce more value to our customers their installed equipment throughout the life cycle and to enable our employees a clearer division of responsibility, which leads to faster decision -making, clearer roles and better practices,” says CEO Thomas Hinners in the bulletin.
Practicing Reform means that new business groups will continue to be automation solutions, flow control, pulp, energy and circular economy, packaging materials and papers, and tissue papers.
