A lawsuit against the Johananof network was filed in connection with disorders in the service of disabled people

The Commission on equal rights for people with disabilities under the Ministry of Justice of Israel filed a lawsuit against 215 thousand shekels against the Johananof supermarket network after complaints about failure to provide priority to customers with disabilities and other violations of equal rights for people with limited capabilities and rules for accessibility of services.

The Ministry of Justice’s official message says that the commission conducted a comprehensive audit, during which it was revealed that the network does not meet the requirements of the law. Among other things, the following violations were identified: the training of employees of the retail network for customers with disabilities was not conducted, the coordinator was not appointed to work with customers of this category, retail space did not provide for the normal conditions of the evacuation of wheelchair users, etc.
