Due to Trump’s duties, Stellantis stops factories in Mexico and Canada

The STELLANTIS automobile concern, which produces cars of such brands as Opel, Citroen, Peugeot, Fiat, Chrysler, announced the stopping of production at his factories in Mexico and Canada due to the introduction of US Duties on the import of cars.

In this regard, about 900 employees of the company in the United States, engaged in supporting the activities of the stopped factories, and about 4,500 hourly factory workers in Canada will be dismissed.

Workers in Mexico will be at work, but will not be engaged in production in connection with the specifics of the current collective agreement.
