Bill Akman: “Tomorrow will be one of the intriguing days in the American economy”

The reactions were not late and the volcanoes in the markets were particularly severe, so much so that even the president’s allies warn of a severe economic recession if there were no last -minute changes.

For example, billionaire Bill Akman, he wrote in his X account that “President Trump’s phone does not stop ringing. The technical reality is that there is not enough time for him to formulate agreements before the tariffs are expected to take effect.”

“So,” says Akman. “I will not be surprised if I wake up on Monday to a message from the president that he rejects the implementation of the tariffs to allow himself time to reach agreements.”

He said, “President Trump has been able to attract the attention of the world and our trade partners, and raised the urgent need to treat an unfair container that hit American workers and destroyed our industry for decades. This is a critical issue that must be resolved, and for the first time we have a president who is committed to addressing it.”

But Akman believes Trump must be feasible. “This problem cannot be resolved within a few days, so why not be a temporary rejection that will allow the president to solve the issue properly, and large and small companies are time to make changes to their supply chains?”

Here Akman warns of serious consequences if Trump is refusing to implant the program. “The risk on this move is that the dramatic increase in uncertainty will put the economy into the recession – there may be no serious recession. One thing is sure: Monday will be one of the most intriguing days in the history of the American economy.”
