Axios: Trump will impose new sanctions on Russia if until the end of April it is not possible to achieve a truce

US President Donald Trump may impose new sanctions on Russia if until the end of April it is not possible to reach an agreement on a ceasefire, reported with reference to its sources.

According to sources, Trump can both take advantage of his presidential powers to introduce restrictive measures and introduce a bill on new sanctions against Russia to the Congress.

On April 11, US President Donald Trump published a post on social networks, in which he called on Russia to “begin to act” to complete the war in Ukraine.

“We will find out soon, for several weeks, and not months, whether Russia is seriously set to the world or not. I hope it is so,” said Secretary of State Rubio on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Brussels last week.
