Helsinki The historic stock market will be expanded by building two more floors. This is a value house completed in 1912, partly protected.
Additional construction is a rare additional building project in the inner city of Helsinki. The purpose is to build two additional layers on the roof of the Stock Exchange house for office and representation.
Now the house has four floors.
First Stock exchange shops in the house were made during its completion year and last in 1990. Today, stock brokers are traded in their own premises.
The House Ownership Stock Exchange Foundation finances its operations with rental income for the Stock Exchange. Extra construction thus means the opportunity to increase rental income.
The CEO of the Stock Exchange Foundation and the Stock Exchange House Sari’s Lunch Sea believes that new office space is desired. According to him, the house has been the desired address throughout its existence.
“We believe that new facilities that are sustainable and flexible in their uses are of interest to the rental market for office space,” says Lunch in the release.
Among other things, the historic glass roof of the courtyard courtyard will remain unchanged during the renovation.

For additional construction The competition was won by the Architectural Competition K2S and Architects won the Architectural Competition Kimmo Lintula, Niko Sirola, Mikko Summanen and Petri’s attic. The office has designed, among other things, the Ylivieska Church.
According to the winner’s chosen jury, the winning plan was low and supported by the specific features of the house. There were six different plans in the competition.
