Washington. A new survey revealed a majority feeling of disapproval towards the management of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, regarding the economy and inflation, due to fears derived from its tariff policy.
According to a survey of CBS News, a large majority provides that, at least in the short term, prices will be increased in the context of the current commercial war.
Fifty -six percent of the interviewees disapprove of Trump’s work in the management of the economy, while 60 percent have a similar opinion regarding its inflation management. His notes in both indicators have dropped four percentage points since the end of March.
On the state of the economy, just over half (53 percent) consider that it is worsening and most estimate that their current state is poor (59 percent).
Regarding the impact of the Republican’s decisions and his team on the rest of the Americans, it is pointed out that approximately half of the respondents (49 percent) affirmed that Trump’s policies are causing damages from the economic point of view.
The survey gives a general approval of 47 percent to the Republican president, three points below what he obtained last month.
