Vietnam Airlines collects an average of 330 billion VND per day

In the first 9 months of this year, Vietnam Airlines achieved consolidated revenue of 90,177 billion VND, equivalent to an average of about 330 billion VND per day.According to the newly released third quarter consolidated financial report, Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietnam Airlines) continues to record positive operating results. The company’s total consolidated revenue reached 30,782 billion VND, an increase of more than 12% over the same period in 2024. Consolidated profit after tax reached 732 billion VND.

Accumulated for 9 months, the company recorded revenue of 90,177 billion VND, an increase of nearly 4.6%. This number also corresponds to an average revenue of about 330 billion VND per day. Thanks to that, the national airline made a record profit with consolidated profit after tax of VND 7,174 billion, an increase of 14.5% over the same period last year. This profit is equal to 90% of the level that Vietnam Airlines achieved last year.

In the past 3 months, this airline transported 6.7 million passengers. The company said this period continues to be unpredictable in terms of world economic fluctuations, geopolitical tensions, fuel prices and exchange rates remaining at high levels. In addition, fierce competition in the aviation market is also increasing.

Since the beginning of the year, in addition to the domestic market, the airline has opened many new international routes to meet the increasing travel demand of foreign visitors to Vietnam. In the third quarter, Vietnam Airlines also successfully issued nearly 900 million shares, helping the corporation increase its capital to VND 8,971 billion. Thanks to that, the company has overcome the situation of negative equity.

The capital increase and positive business results help Vietnam Airlines strengthen its financial capacity, expand its fleet investment, and meet development requirements in the period 2026-2030. The airline is planning to add 30 more wide-body aircraft from Airbus or Boeing with delivery scheduled from 2028.

Currently, the airline operates 102 aircraft. Of which, the wide-body fleet has 31 aircraft, including 14 A350-900s and 17 Boeing 787s. The narrow-body fleet has 65 A321s and A320s. In addition, this company also has 6 ATR-72s.
