The head of the AI chip manufacturer NVIDIA, Jensen Huang, the chairman of the board of directors of Samsung, Lee Jae-yong, and the head of Hyundai, Chong Eason, who participated in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders’ summit in South Korea, created a sensation when the three of them went to one of the Seoul restaurants to drink beer.
The meeting of the three leaders took place at the Kkanbu Chicken restaurant with beer and baked chicken (the cost per serving was $14).
Other restaurant visitors actively photographed the meeting, after which the head of Samsung not only paid the general bill of the meeting participants, but also the bills of all visitors.
The informal meeting is expected to be followed by a formal announcement of a number of major deals between the corporations.
