Europe soars, while America falls: a record quarter for Rafael

The Rafael company published its third quarter reports yesterday (Thursday), which show a 14.5% growth in sales to approximately 1.59 billion dollars (5.19 billion shekels). Since the beginning of the year, the company has registered a growth of 17.6% to about 4.46 billion dollars (14.55 billion shekels).

As per Rafael’s tradition, Israel accounted for the lion’s share of the revenues in the first three quarters of the year (about 55.6%), a rate quite similar to the corresponding period last year (about 56%). Opposite trends were recorded in Europe and America. While revenues from Europe jumped in relation to the three quarters in 2024 by approximately 37.8% to approximately $1.01 billion (accounting for approximately 22.8% of revenues), those from America decreased by approximately 16.3% to approximately $184.9 billion (accounting for approximately 4.1% of revenues).

In general, increases were recorded in relation to the corresponding period last year also in Asia (8.2%), in Ukraine (1.3%), and especially in Africa (35.7%), although the continent’s share of the total revenue remains negligible – 0.005%.

No less than sales, this is a record quarter in terms of net profit: 95.23 billion dollars, a jump of 39.2% compared to the corresponding quarter last year. In the summation of the first nine months of 2025, the net profit was 282.31 billion dollars, a jump of about 67% compared to the corresponding period in 2024.

The most sought after products in the world

The reports were published about a week after Rafael presented its technological expansion in one of its most sought-after product lines in the world, Spike. L-SPIKE 4X is a new advanced electro-optical cruise missile with attack and cruise capabilities up to a range of 40 km with a quick reach to maximum range in only about five minutes. The missile brings to the Spike family advanced cruise and precision capabilities day and night and the ability to hit targets from a long distance.

From the moment of launch, after a quick flight to the target area, it can roam for about 25 minutes, allowing operators to attack at the right moment, at different attack angles and to pinpoint the hit points or cancel a mission in real time. The L-SPIKE 4X missile was developed and designed in advance as a jet missile with high speed and the ability to wander or stay for a long time, unlike other attack UAVs offered today, which are usually characterized by slow flight, small rocket and high signature.

The L-SPIKE 4X missile will be offered with two main types of warheads: Tandem HEAT (double anti-tank) to deal with tank and anti-tank (armored combat vehicle) targets and a multi-purpose warhead for a wide range of tactical purposes. A combination that allows the missile to be adapted to missions on land, in the air and at sea.

At the same time L-SPIKE 1x is a tactical roving weapon, which is an upgraded evolution of the bastion (Firefly). The L-SPIKE 1x was developed at Rafael, and is capable of operating in difficult terrain conditions such as GPS jamming, communication interference and extreme weather. The main capabilities of the system include an operating range of up to five kilometers, an armament weight of 2.2 kg, and a time in the air of 15 minutes in armed mode or 30 minutes in observation mode. The armament is equipped with a warhead weighing approximately 420 grams with a full 360-degree peripheral spray dispersion.
