General strike: disruption to trains, buses and metro. Guaranteed times and slots

Against a budget maneuver deemed unfair, the CGIL has proclaimed one strike general. Abstention from work will affect all sectors, public and private for the whole day. Demonstrations are also planned in all cities, from North to South Italy.

The general secretary, Maurizio Landini, will participate in the procession in Florence whose concentration is scheduled for 9 am in Piazza Santa Maria Novella, before arriving in Piazza del Carmine, where he will speak for the final rally.

In local public transport (buses, trams, subways)

24-hour stop in compliance with the guarantee bands, established locally.

  • Milan from 8.45am to 3pm
  • Turin from 9am to 12pm and from 3pm to the end of the service
  • Genoa from 9am to 5.30pm and from 8.30pm to the end of the service
  • Bologna from 8.30am to 4.30pm and from 7.30pm to the end of the service
  • Florence from 8.15am to 12.30pm and from 2.30pm to the end of service (tram stops from 9.30am to 5pm and from 8pm to the end of service)
  • Naples from 9.30am to 5pm and from 8pm to the end of service (the Circumvesuviana EAV staff strike from 8.30am to 4.30pm and from 7.30pm to the end of service)
  • Bari from 8.30am to 12.30pm and from 3.30pm to the end of service (South East Railway staff strike from 8am to 12.30pm and from 3.30pm to the end of service)
  • Cagliari from 9.30am to 12.45pm, from 2.45pm to 6.30pm and from 8.30pm to the end of service
  • Palermo from 8.30am to 5.30pm and from 8.30pm to the end of the service.
  • Atac staff in Rome exempted from the strike.

In rail transport

In maritime transport in connections with major islands

24-hour delays in ship departure (excluding essential lines and services); on connections with smaller islands strike from 00.01 to midnight (excluding essential lines and services). Stop from 00.01 to midnight also for port towing, mooring, boating and pilotage, guaranteeing minimum services.

24 hour strike for taxis

Articulated within shifts, guaranteeing minimum services.

Highway and Anas road traffic workers will be on strike from 00.01 to midnight for an entire work period (the minimum functional services to ensure road traffic safety will be guaranteed).

Workers in goods transport and logistics are on strike from 00.01 to 24 for an entire work period (transport of essential goods and products are guaranteed), fire guards, railway contracts (train cleaners, stations, offices, ancillary services, catering, night train accompaniment), car rental with driver (guarantee bands 7-9 and 17-19 guaranteed) and without, Rent a Car, rental with driver (guarantee bands guaranteed 7-9 and 17-19), roadside assistance, parking and parking management, driving schools, school bus service (on the 12th the staff strike only for the return service from the school), cableways and funeral transport.

The air transport sector was exempted from the strike due to a previous proclamation.
