Boston Scientific announced it will move production lines from Yokneam to Ireland

US medical device manufacturer Boston Scientific has announced its intention to gradually transfer production activities currently carried out at the Galil Medical facility in Yokneam to the company’s facility in Galway, Ireland.

The company explains that the move is aimed at “preparing for expected growth in demand and aligning capabilities, technologies and resources across global production facilities.”

The relocation of production lines will begin in the second half of 2027 and will be completed in early 2028. At the moment, several dozen specialists are working at the site.

The company added that its laser-focused R&D center in Israel will continue to operate and that it will “continue to operate, invest and have a presence in Israel.”
