Reports: Elbit’s client in the $2.3 billion deal is the UAE

The name of the client and the objects of the transaction were not mentioned, only the execution period was indicated – 8 years. Moreover, according to media reports following the communique, it was stated that disclosing the client’s name could lead to the immediate cancellation of the deal.

According to Intelligence Online, the buyer is the United Arab Emirates.

It should be noted that the UAE has previously purchased Israeli weapons. In particular, in 2022, the Rafael concern signed an agreement to supply the UAE with a batch of SPYDER mobile air defense systems, and the same Elbit – a laser protection system for transport aircraft against missiles.

State-owned Israeli defense concerns Rafael and Aviation Industry have opened their representative offices and joint ventures in the UAE.
