Mersu’s new electric car was chosen as the car of the year in Finland

A year Mercedes-Benz electric car CLA was chosen as the car in Finland.

The winning car Mercedes-Benz’s CLA is the electric cousin of the combustion engine car of the same name.

It has gathered attention in the automotive media during the autumn with its long electronic operating journey. The rear-wheel drive version with a large battery is capable of a distance of almost 800 kilometers.

in the HS test the car got about 500 kilometers in the autumn weather, but the car’s fuel consumption was low and it charges very quickly. The model is capable of eliminating “range anxiety”, i.e. the new electric car driver’s fear of running out of power.

The disadvantages of the car are the cramped rear spaces and the container’s small loading opening, which can be a problem for family buyers.

The price list is around 50,000–65,000 euros, depending on the starting equipment level. The model recently arrived in Finland, so the sales will not be clear from the registration statistics until the next few months.

The competition in the first round there were 35 candidates, of which voting the final six were selected.

In addition to the winner, that chess included Too bad Elroq, Dacia Bigster, Let’s EV4, Smart #5 and Renault 5. Only the combustion engine rumbled under the hood of the Bigster, the others were all-electric cars.

Earlier this fall, electrical engineers chose the Electric Car of the Year in a separate competition, which Elroq, which was also among the finalists of car suppliers, won.
