Banks will be required to keep available information on customer transactions for seven years

The bill was initiated by MPs Yaakov Asher, Moshe Gafni and Walid al-Hawashla.

According to the bill, the client will be able, through the bank’s website, to access account transactions, copies of notifications, certificates, data on deposits, checks, etc., for a seven-year period.

At the moment, as a rule, to obtain information that is more than a year old, you need to contact the bank and pay a fee for searching and copying information.
