Sun Group invested more than 4,600 billion to renovate the landscape of To Lich river

The event is part of a series of 234 key works and projects simultaneously starting, inaugurating, and opening to traffic nationwide. With a total investment of more than 4,665 billion VND, this is a key project to contribute to reviving the historic river, while creating a cultural space where the past and modernity intersect for the Capital.

The project stretches more than 13 km through many wards (such as Ngoc Ha, Nghia Do, Lang, Giang Vo, Cau Giay, Yen Hoa, Thanh Xuan, Dong Da, Khuong Dinh, Dinh Cong, Thanh Liet, Hoang Liet…). The unique highlight of the project lies in the system of impressive architectural works, designed by the world’s leading consulting units.

Both sides of the river are expected to be invested in with artistic walking bridges, boat wharfs, viewing platforms and historical galleries. Sun Group said the projects are designed as works of art, preserving and honoring the traditional cultural values ​​of Hanoi and residents on both sides of the river. The project also creates service spaces such as cafes and high-end restaurants in harmony with the natural landscape, expected to attract tourists.

The unit also said it focuses on “greening” the entire river landscape by planting new systems of shade trees, shrubs, lawns and aquatic plants. The park on both sides of the To Lich River also has multi-functional community utility spaces such as: children’s playground, modern parking lot, rest steps and outdoor relaxation area… helping to diversify entertainment activities.

To implement this project, Sun Group “shakes hands” with two of the world’s leading design consulting units, Edsa – an American planning, landscape architecture and urban design company and Ego Group – an Italian design group.

To Lich River has long been considered the lifeblood of the ancient capital Thang Long. However, under the impact of urbanization, the river has faced pollution and degraded landscape for decades. Recently, Hanoi city has implemented many solutions such as pollution treatment, dredging river beds…

Sun Group participates in implementing this project according to the public-private partnership (PPP) method, demonstrating the coordination between the State and the private economic sector. Sun Group’s main site renovation project is expected to help turn the area on both sides of the river into an experiential cultural and tourist destination.
