As of the beginning of 2026, foreign yachts will be transported between Dubai and Abu Dhabi without entry and exit procedures

In an important step towards strengthening the UAE’s position as a global marine destination, foreign yachts in the emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai can now benefit from unified and simplified administrative procedures for movement between the two emirates. The new simplified initiative includes mutual recognition of sailing permits issued in either emirate, which contributes to facilitating the movement of yachts and enhancing the smoothness of maritime travel. This mutual recognition comes as a result of a series of coordination meetings between Abu Dhabi Maritime, the Dubai Maritime Authority, the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, and other local and federal stakeholders, including the National Guard, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Security.
