Carolina Píparo was appointed by Milei as part of the board of directors of Banco Nación

The advertisement was published in the Official Gazette, in decree 907/2025, which bears the signatures of President Javier Milei and the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo.

Likewise, this Tuesday, decree 903/2025 was published, appointing Dario Wasserman, who held the position of vice president until December 17 (a position from which he had to resign). In this way, it will take the place of Daniel Tillard.

Economy reported last Tuesday that Tillard informed Minister Luis Caputo of his decision to resign. In any case, his resignation, which takes effect from December 17, was crystallized through Decree 903/2025 published in the Official Gazette.

Tillard had come to office with the government of Javier Milei at the hands of former Chief of Staff Guillermo Francos and after his departure from the Government there was speculation that he could leave office. He no longer had political support to continue in a key area.

Through the same document, Banco Nación made official Wasserman, one of the men in Karina Milei’s closest circle, who defined her appointment. He is married to Pilar Ramírez, the Buenos Aires legislator, the main shipowner of the President’s sister in the City and president of La Libertad Avanza on Buenos Aires soil.

Meanwhile, Carolina Píparo presented her resignation to the Chamber of Deputies six days before the end of her term, at the beginning of December, and it was already rumored that she would take a position at Banco Nación.

Píparo’s relationship with Javier Milei has shown several twists and turns. Four years ago, he entered Congress with José Luis Espert, who presented himself as a different liberal alternative to the current President.

However, as time went by and after the 2023 elections, both Espert and Píparo approached the president and she was a candidate for governor of Buenos Aires. When Milei was elected, the then deputy sounded like a strong name to head ANSES, but that position never came.

Piparo had gone so far as to tweet thanking her and announcing that she would meet with camper Fernanda Raverta for the transfer, but then they called her to tell her that in the end it was not going to be her.

Píparo, who was already a deputy and had a block with José Luis Espert, decided to keep her own block apart with Macyszyn, also from Buenos Aires.

In the vote on the Base Law, she supported everything, but she voted against a section of an article and was incorporated into the list of “traitors to the country” that Milei himself published.

Later, when she voted against eliminating lifetime retirements for presidents and vice presidents, they attacked her online and there she marked her definitive distancing from the space.
