Ukraine is in second place in Europe in terms of the number of employees for Israeli high-tech

While the number of employees in the high-tech sector has stagnated in Israel over the past three years, the number of employees in European branches of Israeli high-tech companies has been steadily growing by 5% per year.

According to a report prepared by the consulting firm KPMG, the Swiss venture fund Planven and the Israeli center of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT Hub Israel), at the beginning of 2025, about 30 thousand employees worked in branches of Israeli high-tech companies in European countries, of which about 12 thousand were developers.

The largest hub of Israeli high-tech companies in Europe is the UK, where about 6,700 people work. Ukraine is in second place with 2,600 employees, whom Israeli companies continue to hire despite the protracted war with Russia. This is followed by Germany (2,100 employees), Poland and France (about 1,700 each), Spain (about 1,400), the Netherlands (about 1,000), Romania (about 800), Bulgaria (about 570), the Czech Republic (about 450), Portugal (about 400) and Lithuania (about 360).
