On Monday, the Suez Canal Economic Zone witnessed the laying of the foundation stone for the integrated industrial complex for cells, solar panels and storage systems “Atom Solar”. The complex is being held between companies representing 4 countries: the Chinese Gasolar Company as a technical investor, the Egyptian AH Industrial Management Company, the UAE Global South Utilities Company, and the Bahraini Infinity Capital Company. The total area of the complex is 200,000 square meters, within the scope of the industrial developer “TEDA Misr” in the Authority’s integrated Sokhna area, with a total investment cost of $220 million. The complex consists of a factory for producing solar cells with a capacity of 2 gigawatts, and another for solar panels with a capacity of 2 gigawatts.
