This poses a problem, the American regulator says, because passengers who are not familiar with the system may not know how to leave the vehicle if the power goes out.

This concern is not only among supervisors, but also among directors themselves. According to The Independent some Tesla owners have switched to carrying emergency equipment such as glass breakers to help them exit the vehicle. Others take the time to explain to passengers in advance where the hidden emergency release is located. Some Tesla drivers are even choosing to sell their vehicle, according to the British newspaper.
