Fashion|The French billionaire Arnault family has recently bought three luxury properties in the prestigious areas of Paris.
The Arnault family, the major owner of the French fashion house LVMH, has bought three luxury apartments in Paris for a total of almost 200 million euros in just over a year.
The head of the family, Bernard Arnault, is the seventh richest person in the world with a fortune of 205 billion dollars, according to Bloomberg.
Louis Vuitton’s creative director Pharrell Williams also bought a 62.5 million euro apartment in Paris last year.
The purchases have revived Paris’ luxury apartment market, although the wealth tax may drive some owners out of the city.
French The Arnault family, the major owner of the fashion house LVMH, has bought three residential properties in the upmarket areas of Paris for a total of just under 200 million euros in just over a year, Financial Times (FT) tells.
Last December, the family bought a 58 million euro residential building in the seventh district and a 17th century mansion for 97.5 million euro in March 2025.
In addition, the head of the family Bernard Arnault acquired a 44 million euro apartment in the 16th district in May 2025.
The apartments were among the most expensive in Paris recently, real estate agents say.
In Paris, the districts are divided into 20 administrative districts, i.e arrondissement.

According to the FT, the Arnault family’s purchases have, for their part, revived Paris’s slowly recovering luxury housing market after two difficult years.
At the same time, some real estate agents believe that the wealth tax may make some of the owners of luxury apartments move out of Paris.
Bernard Arnault has denounced the wealth tax as “far-left activism”.

Arnault’s family already had more than 10 apartments in Paris, FT says.
LVMH and the Arnault family did not comment on the information to the FT.
