The press service of the Prime Minister’s Office reported that after arriving in Florida, Benjamin Netanyahu held a video conference with entrepreneur Elon Musk, Transport Minister Miri Regev and head of the National Headquarters for Artificial Intelligence Erez Askel.
Participants in the video meeting discussed the continuation of cooperation with Tesla, the promotion of legislation related to autonomous transport and the development of artificial intelligence technologies in Israel.
Netanyahu and Regev invited Elon Musk to take part in a conference on smart transport, which will be held in Israel in March. The press service of the head of government notes that the businessman accepted the invitation.
“We intend to give Israel a powerful boost and make it a world leader in autonomous transportation, just as we have done in cyber and other technologies,” the Israeli Prime Minister said.
