Places is planning several changes for the beginning of the year, which may lead to a reduction of up to 172 permanent employees. The change negotiations concern the mail center’s sorting, stores and customer service.
The amount of paper mail distributed by Posti has decreased by about 75 percent in the last ten years, and the amount will continue to decrease, Posti says in its press release.

-
Reforming the organizational structure of postal services can lead to a reduction of a maximum of 22 permanent employees.
