Garment 10, an 80-year-old garment business, achieved revenue of 5,136 billion VND with a profit of 212 billion VND, exceeding the set target.
The above information was stated by Mr. Than Duc Viet, General Director of Garment Company 10, at the ceremony to receive the First Class Labor Medal, on January 8. The above results exceeded the target set for revenue of 5,055 billion VND and pre-tax profit of 135 billion VND at the beginning of the year. Import-export turnover reached 328 million USD last year, this unit expects to reach 1 billion USD by 2030. The average income of 12,000 workers currently reaches more than 11 million VND per month, and last year’s Tet bonus was an average of 1.4 months’ salary.

Garment 10 originated from a rudimentary military garment factory in the Viet Bac war zone in 1946. Visiting the factory, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the 80-year journey is a testament to the spirit of self-reliance of Vietnamese businesses. The Prime Minister highly appreciated businesses that despite difficult circumstances still achieved revenue of more than VND 5,100 billion, especially the model of vocational schools, preschool facilities, and on-site medical facilities are models of social security that need to be spread.
Textile and garment has more than 7,000 enterprises with 3 million employees, contributing 10% to Vietnam’s GDP in 2025. The entire industry reached an export record of 46 billion USD in the context of world fluctuations, supply chain disruptions, and constantly changing fashion trends.
The Prime Minister suggested that the textile and garment industry as well as Garment 10 in the new context need to focus on digital transformation, greening production, using clean energy… raising Vietnam’s position in the global value chain, from outsourcing to a higher level to not only be a place for hired tailors but a place to shape world fashion styles. Textile and garment enterprises especially must effectively exploit the domestic market with more than 100 million people, dedicating resources to care for workers.
“Business leaders reported that last year the bonus for workers reached 1.4 months’ salary, this year we strive for two months’ salary, next year must be better than last year,” the Prime Minister said.
