Chairman of FPT Securities resigned

On January 16, FPT Securities (FPTS) announced receipt of Mr. Nguyen Van Dung’s resignation as Chairman of the Board of Directors. In the application, Mr. Dung shared the reason for his resignation because he spent most of his time living and working abroad.

“This may affect the ability to fully and promptly participate in company activities, meetings and perform the responsibilities of a Board Member according to regulations,” said FPTS Chairman. FPTS will dismiss Mr. Dung at this year’s annual meeting.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dung was born in 1976 and holds a Bachelor of Banking Accounting and English. Mr. Dung has 30 years working in the financial industry. During the period 1996 – 2007, this businessman worked at many organizations such as Asia-Pacific Bank, Mizuho Corporate Bank and HSBC.

Mr. Dung joined FPTS in 2007 as Investment Consulting Director. In August 2020, he became Chairman of FPTS, after two years as a member of the Board of Directors.

FPTS was established in 2007, currently has a charter capital of VND 3,465 billion. In particular, FPT Group owns 17.6% of the capital of this securities company.

Accumulated in the first 9 months of 2025, the business recorded operating revenue of nearly 836 billion VND, unchanged compared to the same period in 2024. After deducting expenses and taxes, FPTS has a profit after tax of nearly 269 billion VND, down more than 34% compared to the same period in 2024.
