STOCK EXCHANGE: Trump’s threat hit the Helsinki Stock Exchange – two lifting of the guidelines boosted the exchange rates

The general index describing the price development of Helsinki Stock Exchange shares fell 1.5 percent on Monday to 12,593 points from Friday’s closing reading.

President of the United States Donald Trump threatened Finland and seven other countries with tariffs over the weekend if the United States does not get Greenland for itself.

The countries in question sent a few soldiers to Greenland when Denmark asked to defend the independence of the autonomous region belonging to it.

Stock markets fell in Europe. In the US, the market is closed for Martin Luther King Day.

Helsinki Stock Exchange top of the most traded ended up glowing red. Bank Nordea calculator 2.1, network manufacturer Nokia 1,2 and machine shop Wärtsilä 1.8 percent.

Several listed companies, which fell strongly, export products from Europe to the United States. For example, the sauna company, which fell by 4.3 percent Rarelya forest company that slipped 3.8 percent Stora Enso and ended up in a 3.6 percent downhill Forest Board.

City stock rose by almost 6%

Warehouse space for rent City warehouse raised its guidance for 2025 turnover. The company estimates that turnover will increase by approximately 21.2 percent to 27.1–27.2 million euros from 22.4 million euros the previous year.

Cityvarasto previously estimated that turnover and adjusted EBITDA would improve by 15–20 percent. Regarding the adjusted EBITDA, the guidance is unchanged, i.e. EUR 12.05–12.15 million, which would mean an increase of 20.0 percent.

The Cityvarasto share rose 5.9 percent to 17.92 euros.

Construction company SRV raised the revenue guidance range to 700–715 million euros from 650–680 million euros. Analysts estimated on average before the new guidelines that the company would have made a turnover of 664 million euros last year.

SRV estimates that the operative operating profit will reach 6.0–7.5 million euros, while previously it was only estimated to be positive. Analysts expected 4.3 million euros.

According to the company, the ongoing projects see a higher priority in turnover than expected. SRV’s share rose 6.9 percent to 4.96 euros.

Dovre Group for restructuring

Project staffing and management services company Dovre Group submitted a corporate reorganization application to the district court of Länsi-Uusimaa.

Real estate investment company Citycon a capital return of EUR 0.20 was released from the share today. The share fell 4.3 percent from Friday’s closing reading of 3.96 euros to 3.79 euros.

Construction company YIT says that it has received a 13 million euro contract for Seinäjoki, where the company is responsible for the construction of the new building for the expansion part of the ready-to-eat production facility. The order is recorded in the order book for the first quarter of the year.

Multidisciplinary company Relais Group announced Christian Johansson Gebauer as CEO of a start-up company. Retiring CEO Arni Ekholmia is going to be nominated as a member of the board.
