AUA will soon receive its third "Dreamliner"

The Austrian Airlines are continuing to expand their long-haul fleet. The airline is scheduled to receive its third Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in March, reports Austrian Wings. The aircraft will first be delivered to Taiwan for technical work and then painted in AUA colors in Spain, AUA spokeswoman Anita Kiefer confirms the report.

The aircraft was previously used by Lufthansa. According to the plan, the Dreamliner will then be integrated into flight operations in June. How Austrian Wings Further reported, the current Boeing 767 and 777 at AUA are to be replaced by a total of 11 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners by 2028.

A 787 simulator was put into operation at the Vienna location around a year ago for the training and further education of (future) 787 pilots.
