Inderes: The asset managers’ own profit forecasts decreased by a factor of ten in 2025

Helsinki the stock exchange’s asset management companies’ own profit forecasts were clearly more positive at the beginning of 2025 than they are now, even though the market situation has been very favorable for asset managers from a broader perspective, stock analysis company Inderes states in a recent in the treasurer review.

“When looking at the changes in the profit forecasts of the companies we monitor, the profit forecasts have decreased by an average of about 10 percent for 2025 and remained unchanged for 2026,” the review says.

Inderes according to it, the development of the fund managers it follows has been twofold.

“For operators focused on alternative investments and especially real estate, the market situation has been very challenging, as new sales have been sticky and domestic real estate funds have widely run into problems with large redemptions,” the review says.

“Correspondingly, traditional asset management has continued its strong development, and operators focused on traditional asset management have also excelled on the stock market.”

The biggest downward change in own profit forecasts compared to the beginning of the year has been for eQ, -24 percent, Capman, -21 percent and Taaler, -19 percent.

The profit forecast has been increased from the forecast at the beginning of the year by United Bankers, by 21 percent, and Evli, by 5 percent.

“Evli’s performance in 2025 has been very good, and the company competes with Mandatum for the title of the best-performing asset manager in 2025,” Inderes estimates.
