US State Department approves deal to sell Apache helicopters to Israel

The US State Department has approved a deal to sell Apache helicopters to Israel worth about $3.8 billion.

Another deal for the sale of light combat vehicles (JLTV) and related equipment worth approximately $1.98 billion has also been approved.

A third military contract worth $740 million was also awarded for the supply of power plants for the Namer armored personnel carriers (excluding transmissions) and comprehensive logistics support.

The main contractor for the first deal is AM General, while Boeing and Lockheed Martin are the contractors for the sale of helicopters.
