“Only one revaluation per year is possible”: imbroglio around an increase in supplementary pensions from Agirc-Arrco

This is yet another twist that should captivate 14 million private sector retirees. During a meeting organized on Wednesday, January 28, at Medef, the number 1 employers’ and trade union organizations showed their desire to increase the supplementary pensions paid by Agirc-Arrco during 2026. A turnaround compared to the vote of the board of directors of the organization in mid-October, supposed to determine the rate of increase for the coming year.

In the fall, no agreement had been reached between employee representatives and employers, who remained stubbornly stuck to their demands, without concession. For private sector retirees, this lack of consensus resulted in an outright freezing of supplementary benefits for one year, from November 1, 2025.
