The Israeli Ministry of Defense signed an agreement with the Elbit Maarahot concern to integrate a set of technologies developed by it into the new CH-53K transport helicopters ordered from the United States. The transaction cost is 400 million shekels.
We are talking about 12 helicopters, ordered several years ago to replace the old CH-53C and now in the process of assembly at Lockheed-Martin factories. They should be available to the IDF in 2028.
The technology package includes command and control systems, electronic and computer systems, missile defense systems, electronic warfare systems, etc.
