The United States Trade Representative, Jamieson Greer, announced yesterday the promulgation of the Action Plan between the United States and Mexico on critical minerals, a mechanism that seeks to coordinate trade policies that seek to reduce vulnerabilities in the supply chains of these strategic resources.

Mitigate vulnerabilities

In a statement, Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy, highlighted that the objective of the plan is to ensure the supply of essential inputs for various key sectors of the industry, through binational cooperation, within a framework of respect and adherence to the legislation of both countries, within the framework of the country’s sovereignty.
