MaPrimeRénov’: the system will reopen “in a few days”, announces the Minister of Housing

The MaPrimeRénov’ energy renovation aid system, suspended at the beginning of January, will be relaunched “as soon as the budget is promulgated”, “in a few days”, and open to all households, announced the Minister of Housing Vincent Jeanbrun this Thursday.

MaPrimeRénov’, restricted to the most modest in September and suspended in January for lack of finance law, was to reopen for all households after final adoption of the 2026 state budget, according to the government’s promise.

“I had said very clearly that if there was no budget, there was no (subsidy request, editor’s note) window for MaPrimeRénov’, well the good news is that that’s it, there is a budget so as soon as the law is promulgated, which will happen in a few days, complete reopening of MaPrimeRénov’, announced Vincent Jeanbrun on CNews and Europe 1.

“This is good news for the French and professionals in the sector,” he said in a message on X.

An envelope of 3.6 billion euros

The budget planned in 2026 for this aid for the energy renovation of housing is 3.6 billion euros, an envelope equivalent to that of last year, but which costs less to the State thanks to increased use of energy saving certificates (CEE, aid offered by energy suppliers).

With these funds, the National Housing Agency (Anah) plans to finance 150,000 isolated renovation works (changing a boiler or windows) and 120,000 overall housing renovations. Vincent Jeanbrun will visit a France Rénov’ space in Yvelines on Friday, an information and support agency for renovation projects.
