Israeli startup VAST Data will be valued at $30 billion

The basis of the deal is not based on the injection of new capital into the company, but on the sale of existing shares as part of a large secondary round. Much of the round is designed primarily to give existing shareholders the opportunity to sell shares and raise hundreds of millions of dollars, with an emphasis on early investors, founders and long-serving employees who have exercised options.

Vast Data, based in Ganei Taarukha in Tel Aviv and with extensive operations in the United States, has become one of the major infrastructure companies of the artificial intelligence era in recent years. The company provides solutions for storing, processing and retrieving huge amounts of information – a critical base layer for AI models, supercomputers and cloud infrastructures.
