Martin Hauer becomes the new General Director of Raiffeisen NÖ-Wien

Hauer’s appointment represents continuity, reliability and team spirit. It underlines the clear commitment to consistently continue the successful path and to sustainably develop both banks in the spirit of the Lower Austrian Raiffeisen banks. “Together we will continue the positive development of recent years, further expand Raiffeisen’s deep roots in Lower Austria and Vienna and maintain its strong position within the Raiffeisen Banking Group Austria,” says Erwin Hameseder, chairman of Raiffeisen-Holding NÖ-Wien.

Under his leadership, the private and SME customer business of the Raiffeisenlandesbank has developed very successfully, and above all Stadtbank Wien has become a real success story over the last five years,” said General Director Michael Höllerer.

Martin Hauer has many years of diverse management experience inside and outside the Raiffeisen sector. Since joining in 2011, he has held various management positions within Raiffeisen-Holding NÖ-Wien and Raiffeisenlandesbank NÖ-Wien. First as general secretary, later as general representative for the retail business and since 2018 as board director for private customers and SMEs. According to the release, in recent years he has, among other things, played a key role in driving forward the positive development of the retail business in Vienna. Hauer has a doctorate in law and can look back on numerous positions in a national and international environment.
