Space: these two Bordeaux residents have their heads in the stars

They both remember this evening in 2017, in a bar in Bordeaux. A mutual friend, convinced that they would be able to gain height together, had organized the meeting. He was not mistaken: after a few hours, Alexandre Mangeot and Sylvain Bataillard, seven years his junior, were already sketching the beginnings of what would become the entrepreneurial adventure HyPrSpace, a space company that they founded in 2019 and which is preparing to launch its first rocket.

Their backgrounds and temperaments are different, but that’s what makes them strong. The oldest is analytical, likes to tinker around his house in his rare spare time and take care of his three daughters, when his partner is operational, a fan of running and rock, metal or electro concerts. “Co-founders must have complementary profiles,” believes Alexandre Mangeot.
