21 lottery companies in the Southern region will achieve revenue in 2025 of over 155,500 billion VND (more than 6 billion USD), contributing nearly 52,000 billion to the budget.

Accordingly, in 2025, traditional lottery revenue of 21 lottery companies in the Southern region will reach 103% of the plan, an increase of more than 10.6% compared to 2024. Last year’s bonus payment costs were nearly 76,200 billion VND, issuance costs were more than 26,900 billion VND. 21 units paid 51,975 billion VND to the budget, pre-tax profit of more than 20,000 billion VND, up 12% and 11% respectively compared to the previous year. At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chien – Chairman of the Board of Members of Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company – Chairman of the Southern Regional Lottery Council, said that to achieve the 2-digit growth target in 2026, the Southern Regional Lottery Council has proposed to the Ministry of Finance to allow an increase in issuance revenue from 140 billion VND to 160 billion VND per period, from April 1.
