I’m beyond that 100 flights canceled in total at Fiumicino from Saturday to tomorrow, between arrivals and departures, after the attacks by the USA and Israel on Iran and the expansion of the conflict in the Middle East which caused a global interruption in air transport not seen since the pandemic.
According to what AGI has learned from airport sources, on an average of around 800 daily flights to and from Fiumicino, on Saturday 28 February 21 flights between arrivals and departures were cancelled, on Sunday 1 March 28 flights between arrivals and departures, on Monday 2 March 45 flights between arrivals and departures and for tomorrow there are currently 12 flights canceled between arrivals and departures.
The greatest inconvenience occurred on Saturday as passengers received the news when they were already at the airport or were about to arrive.
