A Ferrari Diagnostic Center is born in Maranello

Innovation but above all union, cohesion and attention to the territory. Thanks to an “extraordinary” collaboration between public and private Ferrari today inaugurated a Maranello and Diagnostic Centercreated to provide services prevention and advanced diagnosis both to its employees and to the local community. The Center, managed by Med-ExFerrari’s historic medical partner, makes use of the most advanced technologies, also thanks to instrumentation Philipsa world leader in medical innovation.

The new Diagnostic Center represents a absolute record in Italy: it is the first time that a company not belonging to the medical sector has created a structure of this level in synergy with the Public institutions. A profitable one collaboration with regional and local authorities which has found fertile ground to develop concrete and local initiatives for the benefit of the community. The initiative was presented today by the CEO of Ferrari, Benedetto Vigna, by the CEO of Royal Philips, Roy Jakobsand by the General Director of Modena Local Health Authority, Mattia Altini, in the presence of the Vice President Piero Ferrari, of the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Michele de Pascaleof the Mayor of Maranello, Luigi Zironi and the founder and CEO of Med-Ex, Fred Fernando.

An agreement will be signed in the next few days three-year agreement with the Modena Local Health Authority to offer one screening mammografico at the Center for women residing in the Municipalities of Maranello, Formigine and Fioranowith the aim of strengthening the oncological prevention on the territory. According to the timing of the regional programs, approximately 8,300 teststhe reporting of which will be entrusted to the specialists ofAUSL. The Center is also applying to become a epidemiological study center thanks to the activity of data pooling carried out by Med-Ex, and will offer services remote clinical documentation analysis (second opinion) in collaboration with the most accredited Italian public medical centers.

Ferrari’s commitment to the territory

Ferrari furthermore it will not retain any profit from the Centre, confirming the desire to restore value to the territory and promote the growth of local skills. The profit generated by the activity, for Ferrari’s share, will in fact be reinvested in training activities for medical and technical personnel, as well as in scholarships for young medical professionals.

The Center is equipped with latest generation equipmentequipped with software with integration of Artificial Intelligenceincluding one Total Body Magnetic Resonance Imagingand Spectral Computed Tomographand Mammography with Tomosynthesisa Digital Radiography with intelligent collimation and a DEXA Bone Densitometer. All equipment guarantee quality and performance standards at the highest levelsoffering more precise, rapid and safe diagnoses.
