One thing first: loud AMS all the numbers are correct. The difference lies in who is considered “immediately available.” When it comes to apprenticeships, for example, not all companies report their open places to the AMS. In addition, some apprenticeship positions only become available months later – although applications are already possible, they are not yet considered “immediately available” in statistics.
It is similar with young people. Some are looking for an apprenticeship but can’t start straight away – because they’re still going to school. Depending on whether you only count immediately available apprenticeships and applicants or those who can only start later or are in inter-company training, the numbers vary.
