The United States approved the emergency sale of 12 thousand BLU-110 bombs to Israel

The United States has approved an emergency military munitions sale to Israel, including 12,000 BLU-110 aircraft bombs, as well as logistics and support services totaling approximately $151.8 million.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio acknowledged the existence of an emergency requiring immediate approval of the deal in the interests of the national security of the United States, which circumvented the standard procedure for consideration in Congress.

The official notice emphasizes that the delivery should strengthen Israel’s ability to counter current and future threats and maintain its role as a deterrent in the Middle East.
