The CEO of the Saudi national oil corporation Aramco, Amin Nasser, said that in the coming days the East-West oil pipeline connecting the Persian Gulf with the Red Sea will be brought to full capacity (5 million barrels per day).
According to Nasser, this could have been done faster, but the problem was redirecting some consumers.
“We are doing everything possible to meet the needs of the majority of our customers under the current circumstances, but the bulk of reserve oil production capacity is concentrated in the Persian Gulf, so the resumption of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz is absolutely necessary,” the head of Aramco emphasized.
