STOCK EXCHANGE: The Helsinki Stock Exchange closed in the red – a big down day at Wärtsilä

The general index of the Helsinki Stock Exchange closed down on the last trading day of the week. The stock market closed down 1.05 percent at 12,831 points.

Helsinki’s general index largely followed other major European indices. Among other things, the European Stoxx 600 index was down a small 0.7 percent at the time of the review.

Information security company Withsecure the board submitted an application to Nasdaq Helsinki to stop public trading in the company’s shares and to remove the shares from the stock exchange list.

In the application, it is requested that the delisting of the company’s shares traded on the Nasdaq Helsinki stock exchange list take place as soon as possible after Diana Bidco has received ownership rights to all shares of WithSecure in the pending redemption procedure.

Kesko-group’s sales increased by 5.0 percent in February. The group’s sales increased in all its branches and totaled EUR 951.7 million in February.

In the grocery trade, Kesko’s sales to K-​​food stores increased by 2.6 percent in February. In the construction and building technology trade, sales grew by a comparable 6.0 percent in the technical trade.
