Brandt: no industrial offer retained, group assets resold to Cafom

The Nanterre Economic Activities Court on Friday accepted the offer from the Cafom group, distributor of household equipment overseas, to take over the brands and stocks of the Brandt group, the former flagship of household appliances liquidated in December, according to a decision consulted by AFP.

This proposal, worth 18.6 million euros, was preferred to 35 others, one of which could have allowed the launch of a new industrial activity in the Brandt factories and supported in particular by the Centre-Val de Loire region and Orléans Métropole.

“It’s a hard blow to made in France,” reacted the president of the region François Bonneau to AFP.
