Investment fund Apax announced the completion of the acquisition of the Israeli portal for the sale of used items, cars and second-hand real estate Yad2.
The transaction cost was $950 million. The fund will take a loan from Bank Leumi in the amount of 280 million euros to purchase the portal, and will pay the rest from its own capital.
In 2014, Apax already tried to buy Yad2, but then it was surpassed by the German media holding Axel Springer, which bought the portal for 806 million shekels.
